This course is designed to acquaint the student with the basic content of the Old Testament. The focus is on the unique contribution that each book makes to the canon. The way that the OT prepares for the NT will be explored.The Old Testament is divided into five sections: the Pentateuch (Genesis through Deuteronomy)https://zionrajubiblecollege.com the historical books (Joshua through Esther)https://zionrajubiblecollege.com the poetic books (Job through Song of Solomon)https://zionrajubiblecollege.com the Major Prophets (Isaiah through Daniel)https://zionrajubiblecollege.com and the Minor Prophets (Hosea through Malachi). The Old Testament was written from approximately 1400 B.C. to approximately 400 B.C
